The holidays are a time to be grateful for what we have—especially for what we often take for granted. This year, Makers Nutrition, a one-stop dietary supplement provider, wanted to help those in the community facing tough times this Thanksgiving. Holding another in-office food drive to donate to Island Harvest, Makers Nutrition set a goal and far exceeded it.
“We are absolutely thrilled to give back to the community, especially during a time that is all about… giving!” said Christopher Zecha, Operations Manager at Makers Nutrition. “Since last year’s holiday food drive was such a success, we wanted to encourage our employees to give as much, if not more, than they did in 2017.
Around 182,000 people will go hungry on Long Island tonight. 72,980 of those will be children (communitysolidarity). “This is devastating news, but we are just happy Makers Nutrition is able to lower these numbers by feeding so many local families on the island. We are more than thrilled to help Island Harvest serve those in need,” said Mr. Zecha.
