Makers Nutrition today announced donation to Special Olympics New York.
An incredible organization, Special Olympics New York’s mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other athletes and the community.
The message remains as vital today as when the Special Olympics movement was founded in 1968. The organization strives to create a better world by fostering the acceptance and inclusion of all people. Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Their athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment—on the playing field and in life. They also inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential.
Always looking to make a difference in organizations with the goal of improving communities and the lives within them, Makers Nutrition was thrilled at the idea of making a donation to Special Olympics New York. To add some flavor to their contribution, Makers Nutrition held a company raffle giving away a $200 restaurant gift card to the winner. The team’s generous donation will help the organization grow the number of athletes they support.
