Supplement Manufacturing: Heavy Metal Detox

Supplement Manufacturing: Heavy Metal Detox

While small amounts of some heavy metals such as zinc and iron are crucial for optimal health, ingesting too many heavy metals through industrial, environmental, and food sources can cause our bodies to react negatively. The type of metal to which we are overexposed—be it lead, cadmium, or mercury—decides which symptoms we experience. Nausea, headaches, diarrhea, abdominal pain and cramping could potentially grow to more severe symptoms such as brain fog, visual disturbances, insomnia and even paralysis.

One of the most commonly known toxins is lead. Sources include fertilizers, factory chimneys, car exhaust, pesticides, and battery waste. Lead can harm the reproductive organs, gastrointestinal tract, brain, and blood system. But there are ways to limit exposure to such pollutants. More on that later.

Nutrient Protection

First, here are some foods/beverages that can help protect against the effects of heavy metals:

  • Garlic,
  • Wild blueberries
  • Curry
  • Lemon water
  • Tomatoes
  • Green tea

However, many of your soon-to-be customers are deficient in the very nutrients needed to combat heavy-metal destruction. Some of those nutrients include vitamins B-1, B-6, and C. For people who do not consume sufficient amounts of vitamins and have copious amounts of heavy metals in their systems could be candidates for a heavy metal detox. A great resource for detoxing? Dietary supplements. More specifically, your private label detox supplements.

To Get the Ball Rolling

Your detox product could include some of the above ingredients, as well as chlorella and fiber:

  • Chlorella has been shown to aid in the detoxification of mercury
  • Dietary fiber, rich in fruits and grain with bran, may help remove heavy metals, along with mercury.

Creating a detox supplement with promising ingredients could help prevent harmful effects, while promoting overall health and wellbeing. Your customers are looking for a product they can trust, and Makers Nutrition is the supplement manufacturing service provider YOU can trust.

Private Label Supplement Manufacturing with a Mission

Our team believes that we can get a whole lot more done together than apart. We know firsthand from producing some the industry’s most popular dietary supplements and there are plenty of eco-friendly initiatives who can attest. The unnatural pollutants/heavy metals in our impact our health, but WE can make an even bigger impact if we work towards a safer, cleaner environment together. Imagine more people participating in greener practices, i.e.: quitting cigarette smoking and using more organic lawn products. Small steps can turn to great strides. And the potential of our imprint is limitless.
